چکیده
Abstract Background The capacity of postural control is a key factor related to falling in older people, particularly women with low back pain (LBP). Cognitive involvement increases age. However, most scholars have not considered different difficulty levels cognitive loads when exploring the effects cognition on patients LBP. present study investigate how modulate Methods This was cross-sectional study. Twenty LBP were recruited into group, and 20 healthy without history group. Balance parameters computed quantify control. All participants underwent balance test, which required participant maintain stability during standing force platform or concurrent task. test included three difficulties posture tasks (eyes-open vs. eyes-closed one-leg stance) (without task auditory arithmetic serial-7 s task). Results A repeated-measure analysis variance (3 × 3 congnitive tasks× 2 groups) testing performance conditions. Older had worse (as reflected by larger center pressure (COP) parameters) than group regardless difficulties. Compared single task, COP dual tasks, even though level low. Larger shown only if high Correlations between sway area/sway length number falls significant tasks. Conclusion Our findings shed light for showed more disturbing LBP, associated falling.

Correlation of disability and pain with postural balance among women with chronic low back pain
Low back pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal complaints and, from a public health perspective, is the most costly (1,2). In most cases, it is benign and disappears within six weeks, but approximately 20% of individuals with lumbar pain do not show any improvement in their condition, which may progress to chronic low back pain. This chronic condition is difficult to manage and is corr...
متن کاملEffects of Acute Low Back Pain on Postural Control
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the changes in static and dynamic postural control after the development of acute low back pain. METHODS Thirty healthy right-handed volunteers were divided into three groups; the right back pain group, the left back pain group, and the control group. 0.5 mL of 5% hypertonic saline was injected into L4-5 paraspinal muscle for 5 seconds to cause muscle pain. The movement ...

This study examined the biopsychosocial measures related to postural control in the growing population of older adults (i.e., 60 years and older). The sample of the study consisted of 129 older adults (M = 74.45, SD = 6.95), with 34 males and 95 females; 36 were classified with chronic low-back pain (CLBP), and 93 without chronic low-back pain (NCLBP). Physical and psychosocial constructs were ...

Purpose: The current study investigated the effect of an aquatic training program on balance in women with low back pain. Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test and post-test and control group design. The study population included all patients with low back pain who referred to orthopedics s offices. In total, 30 women suffering from back pain were purposefully and volun...
متن کاملAre the changes in postural control associated with low back pain caused by pain interference?
BACKGROUND Voluntary limb movements are associated with involuntary and automatic postural adjustments of the trunk muscles. These postural adjustments occur prior to movement and prevent unwanted perturbation of the trunk. In low back pain, postural adjustments of the trunk muscles are altered such that the deep trunk muscles are consistently delayed and the superficial trunk muscles are somet...
